Review # 1 was written on 2009-03-24 00:00:00 James Mccafferty After enjoying the 3 hour tour of the Hobcaw Barony led by the author, I made a beeline for the small gift shop for this book. The preservation of the land owned by the Belle Baruch Foundation is a gift to all of us. 17,500 acres of preserved land are being studied by scientists from all over the world is making a difference. This book is thoroughly researched, and well documented with pictures of the Baruch family, and friends - including Presidents, Generals, and a Prime Minister. A wonderful chronicle of humans, and nature from early 1900's through today. |
