Nice overview on educational thinkers. Interesting, easy to understand, concise. I would have liked though to see more of the historical/cultural context of and connections between the thinkers described. Now they were presented as separate entities, but I am curious about the grand scheme of things, about the developments in thinking taking place and how one influences the other. Also the quotations at the start of each chapter seemed to be chosen quite randomly, as a means to brighten up the descriptions, but did not add much contentually.

This book isn't going to win any writing awards, but it does what it says on the tin. That is, it introduces a boatload of thinkers on education in a relatively tiny space.
