Review # 1 was written on 2015-05-22 00:00:00 Wesley Gregory This was a helpful overview of some writers I might want to read in the future. Wish the analysis had gone more deeply into the intersection of ethnicity and race, especially since Italians successfully crossed the color line into "white" quite a long time ago. Many elements discussed here familiar to my own experience--including the complexity of food (preparing and eating) and the mystical Catholicism that often informs Italian American women's experiences. |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-01-29 00:00:00 Olanike Ajibola Reading this was a personal exploration into my family history. It answered a lot of personal questions that I've had. |
