Review # 1 was written on 2020-12-06 00:00:00 George Heib A good primer, divided into easily digestible chapters covering the major issues and tensions of the first congress. It also had several images of the documents used which gives the layperson a good insight into the primary sources that exist out there.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-03-12 00:00:00 Kirk Smith A little dry, but still very informative. My only real criticism is that the book does not include a "wrap up" chapter. It's abrupt end, however, is made up for in the earlier discussions about banking, land vs money, and government discussions. I think this book is a very good combination with the Jefferson biography "Art of Power" and also "Mr Jefferson's Army".
