This is good for anyone who can't understand why some people can't "pull themselves up by their bootstraps."

Another book I didn't get nearly enough time with during a period of extreme research and writing. "Working Toward Whiteness" left a greater mark on me than any of the other books that I read during that period though. While I've had to stop and think about other sources that I was working off of as I go through and backfill books I've read into GoodReads, this book never left the forefront of my mind. For me, this book is the true definition of a five star. It legitimately forced me out of a mindset I had about the world, and made me look at it in a completely different way.
