This is a diary kept by an unnamed little dog, recording the events of one day in his life. Our hero is some sort of terrier, judging by the drawings. The sub-title of the book is "An Angel In The House" but is our pup really an angel? I withhold judgment, but I will say he is a charming rogue who would probably drive his owner crazy but life would never be dull with him around. I thought the author captured the spirit of Dog in a wonderfully humorous way. Anyone who loves dogs should enjoy it, and the book is so short it is worth the trip to Project Gutenberg to read it whenever you need a good chuckle.

This is a lovely book. The illustrations are what initially drew me in. The text is funny and lighthearted, and really shows its age, but that's okay. Good book for any dog lover or small children.
