Review # 1 was written on 2011-04-10 00:00:00 John Sypniewski This is an excellent book. Some of the essays, of course, are of the Kant is insufficiently feminist ilk. Some essays, in particular, are very poorly conceived. That Kant was limited by his historical epoch and place as a Konigsburg professor who never left his hometown is hardly that interesting. On the other hand, the essays that take on the issues of moral autonomy and its meaning for feminists are instructive and helpful. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-10-03 00:00:00 Gene Siegrist Beautifully illustrated, offers the story of Thanksgiving that is more thorough than the Charlie-Brown version we all remember from growing up. This story shows some of the items that were unique to the Americas and items the Pilgrims sent back to Europe to bring some money into their colony. |
