A JM Frontier Action Adventure (FL) JM has penned a frontier action adventure about one of the early mountain men who traveled the west and northwest as a hunter and trapper. He is contacted by friends and asked to return hone and lead a group if men westward to California. When he arrives at home some are glad to see and a few are not. He leads the group of men across the good land, the barren land into the Rockies and down into the fertile vallies of California. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

I saw an ad for this book in the back of one of my Trailsman novels, as I love mountain man stories and am always looking to discover new authors - I bought it on my kindle. I am beyond delighted with my first exposure to Mr. Manning. I adored the characters, you got to know them and care about their stories. I loved their adventures and grit my teeth when trouble popped up to over take them. The interactions between Eben and Falconer were some of my favorite parts to read. The inner turmoil in some of the characters and then their resolve when the cards were played.. were very humanising. I can't wait to read the next Falconer book.
