As the title indicates, this is a selection of Neal Adams sketches, with full commentary by the artist. The book provides a great insight into Mr. Adams' creative process, while also giving useful pointers to aspiring or developing artists, to whom this book is recommended. See also ART OF NEAL ADAMS HC.

Neal Adams was one of the pioneers of comic art, redefining how figures and pages were drawn. He also fought for the rights of creators and claimed little victories like the return of original artwork to the creators that drew the pages. This sketchbook lets Neal run loose and free as he provides commentary for a collection of sketches that run from his earliest days as an artist to 1999. A younger and more energetic Adams gives free advice to artists of all skills and ages. It's a blustery and enthusiastic book that should be read by fans of the medium.
