Review # 1 was written on 2015-11-14 00:00:00 Georgia Null The Child's Discovery of the Mind is filled with interesting theories as to how a child develops communicative and language abilities. This was a required reading for one of my classes, and I ended up enjoying it. Rather than focusing on one theory of language development, Astington is able to bring multiple theories together, with each chapter focusing on a different aspect of the mind. I did find some parts of chapters to drag on a bit more than it needed to, but overall I thought the theories were pretty cool. Check it out.
