Review # 1 was written on 2019-12-19 00:00:00 Debra Jarvis Excellent book. Requires some foundations in philosophy to understand. Evaluates oriental philosophy (Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism) from some western categories (he states this at the start) but it is helpful for the systematically minded. I highly recommend for an introduction to eastern philosophies.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-03-22 00:00:00 Larry Deville Nothing is better than beginning your summer reading list with a light introduction to eastern thought. From Indian philosophy to Taoism and Neo-Confucianism, this book handles pretty complex philosophies with smooth sophistication. Definitely recommended for lovers of comparative religion and philosophy!
