Growing up in a Polish Slovak family, I always wonder where some of the traditions came from. Well, after reading this I know what I didn't to begin with. I love Koledy. I have since I was a child. Also the polka. You can never be blue when doing a polka. I would have to say that I am proud of my heritage, and grateful for all the celebrations over the years.

This book covers a sensitive topic that is of the utmost importance. Understanding the racism that is embedded in European-American culture (as well as in other places) is not only important but absolutely necessary if we hope to live in a harmonious and loving world.
