A wonderful selection of some of Beachcomber's previously uncollected works. Justice Cocklecarrot appears, as do Drs Rhubarb and Smart-Allick, Captain Foulenough, and many other favourites, but it is all new material. Any chance to read Beachcomber work you've not encountered before has to be a bonus. This is a dipping-in book rather than a cover-to-cover book; of course, this means it's fatal to keep it by the bedside! 'CALLING at a lonely farmhouse near Taunton, a Greek sailor said: 'I am Professor Kindleman's grandfather, and I am saturated with marmalade.' Such elegance.

This book is really for the diehard fans of Monty Python. As I haven't watched the show in years I found that I couldn't answer most questions that went beyond the extremely popular sketches. Still, it was entertaining for the tidbits between quizzes.
