This book took me a lot longer to get through than I would have thought. I think because I could only read it in parts and pieces since I work in this field all the time and because when I was reading this, some parts of my own past were coming into play and I had to step back. It's a well written book, with a truly good message for anyone in the social services area. Take the time to consider if you're client or service user driven or if you're service driven -there is a big difference!!! I really enjoyed the advice on advocacy policy towards the end of the book and learned a lot. If you're an advocate or caregiver - this is a good read and would be a great addition to a social service agency's internal library for reference and staff refresher.

very interesting but aimed at therapists more than patients. Reassuring to know that the mind can be shifted even if "tricked" to make big changes. She is or was (?) Richard Bandlers wife so is VERY well trained and she writes well. Very thought provoking
