Stumbling upon a 10th anniversary issue of a collection is always a serendipitous affair and this is one of the books that I have kept the longest. Perhaps it was the sense of getting away constantly in the stories included in this issue that made reading through city stories interesting, as if the urban landscape always gives you an assurance that everything will come through in the right time, where even busy corners becomes still at midnight, and rooms echo with pain, laughter, and witnesses all of people's fears before all of us go out into the city once more, seemingly okay.
