Review # 1 was written on 2020-02-20 00:00:00 ron delany As far as Listening textbooks go (are there that many?), this one is an easy-to-read, methodically paced and thorough examination of the subject. Wonderful for undergrad classes and applicable to adult learners as well. I would challenge the gendered pronouns as well as the absence of references to class & sexuality, however. As those are important aspects of listening cultures, I'd like to see at least some attention in the 6th edition.
