Review # 1 was written on 2013-03-20 00:00:00 Laura Paul I finally finished Tillich's system! This was the longest of his three volumes by far but very interesting. The fourth part of the system was almost as difficult for me to get a grasp of as the second part, while the fifth part was very enlightening as to Tillich's understanding of the historical meaning of Christian symbols. The great thing about reading the Systematic Theology was how it helped me understand some of the concepts he covered in his shorter works. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-01-16 00:00:00 John Mac Incredibly comprehensive. If it had anything to do with changing the gear ratio of a bicycle it's probably in here illustrated with contemporary sketches and diagrams, of which this book as absolutely packed. I would recommend against the author's ordering and suggest starting with chapter 14 and 15, then start the history from the beginning. |
