Review # 1 was written on 2008-02-04 00:00:00 Remco de Maaijer Decent overview of the French Revolution...not a ton of detail but hard to do in 200 pages. YA book, so it was easy reading. Hard to imagine the situation (price of bread going up by 50x or more, starving families, etc..)the people were in, but, wow, it was a bloody time! |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-02-09 00:00:00 Linda Knabel This is a good, short history of the French Revolution. The character vignettes, though extremely helpful, take up 1-3 pages over other chapter or so when major characters are introduced. This seems to break the flow of reading. |
