Review # 1 was written on 2012-12-11 00:00:00 Sera Ulo I read this book many years ago. I cannot rate it too highly. It contains a varied and fascinating array of astronomical topics, gathered from a life-times collection of columns from "Sky and Telescope" magazine. The author is highly knowledgeable on his subject, however, even more importantly, he is an excellent author. He writes in an engaging and informative manner that brings each topic to life. It can be read by an amateur astronomer, or anyone interested in history, or simply anyone else. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-11-21 00:00:00 Anthony Caciolo Cozy and local I wanted to read this because of my 3 years on Comm Ave in the early 70s. The historical details, the changing fortunes of the family and the personality of the youngest member, returning after years in Europe and LA, made this an interesting and comfortable read. |
