Review # 1 was written on 2010-09-19 00:00:00 Shelly Graham This is pretty much the best version of the Bible I've ever found. My favorites are the archaeological supplement, scripture atlas, and the colored bible maps. It made studying really interesting and actually fun.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-05-11 00:00:00 Joshua Doty I am so glad to be able to mark this as "read." In February of 2015, I was asked by friends to join them in reading the Bible through in one year. A daunting task, it seemed to me. My spirit was led, and I agreed. Though I've been a Christian for a long time, there were still books that I'd never read. Amos and Micah, for example. A cross-country move left me 3 weeks behind, but I trudged on. Learning, growing, enriching His Spirit within me. How did I ever walk with Him without this daily practice of being in His Word? John 15: 4-9 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. I have chosen to continue my reading, but am following a two-year plan this time. Reading through in one year was heavy and left little time for contemplation of what I'd read or for looking into a Bible Atlas to follow the journeys of those I was reading on.
