Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-17 00:00:00 Chris Bonds A nice introductory to going into details but undergraduates can follow easily and may be interested when they face to 3 chapters about Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism and Quantum Mechanics, which you can not find in many maybe any text books(at least as i reviewed numbers of books in this area). You can find many area of research fields such as radio, Gamma and so on in a little more details than many introductory books.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-04-06 00:00:00 Sam Ghu Springer-Verlag's Astronomy & Astrophysics Library is excellent as is this book. It covers the basic astrophysical concepts and the math behind them with rigor. This volume covers gravity, electromagnetic processes, quantum processes, stars-- their evolution and properties, the interstellar medium and cosmology.
