Review # 1 was written on 2018-03-26 00:00:00 Steven Azevedo I picked this book off the library shelves to search for an image of Stonehenge to aid a watercolour work that I want to paint. So perhaps my review of this book reflects my opinion of the quality of photographs that this book contains in this respect. 'Stonehenge-A History in Photographs' by Julian Richards is published through English Heritage from 2004. So this book follows the photographic images taken of the site from the first such in 1853 and on through to the twenty first century. Many are from the various restoration cum archaeological excavations from 1901, 1920, 1950's and 1964. Other pictures feature various Stonehenge desecrations, visits from Druids, free festival freaks etc. All the photographs are just in black and white.
