This is an all right book I guess. Nothing special...although I expected something more. This is rather introductory, and nothing particularly insightful (lots of steps are carried out, and only brief dialogue). It's probably on the same level as Gerry & Knight's book (maybe slightly simpler), although Barnett does a better job at explaining dissipation and Master equations (although to be fair, the Gerry & Knight's book is absolutely horrible at that).

For something called "in a nutshell" it contains a lot of over complicated mathematics and it misses the very meaning of quantum phenomena.
