Review # 1 was written on 2019-10-10 00:00:00 Sean Ross super interesting examination of medieval western christian perspectives on climatic determinism, jews & muslims as the "other", geographic perceptions of the world, etc. lots of valuable information. not quite as cohesive between chapters as it could've been, maybe, but deffo worth the time

Review # 2 was written on 2011-12-20 00:00:00 Susann Sagvand I read this book for my History book report. I realized you need to have a pretty decent background in Egyptian history and literature especially poetry because this book tends to assume you already know a lot. It was kind of long and maybe some pictures would have been nice but overall for a book report it wasn't that bad
