Review # 1 was written on 2018-03-17 00:00:00 Peter Dowdeswell Karen J. Alter, Linda Senden, Liesbet Hooghe, and Anne-Marie Slaughter are my personal grandes dames of international law and political science. Establishing the Supremacy of European Law is one of Alter´s earlier works and - in my eyes - a perfect example how to do a high-quality case study. (Alter would probably never agree that this book is a case study but I will stick to this label anyway.) I love to read about interesting and unpredictable political developments especially when they are as good researched as Alter´s book.
