Review # 1 was written on 2014-10-04 00:00:00 Jason Hersch A good book but very much "of its time". The author was working in the National Security Council of the Nixon administration at the time of writing the book. It early chapters give a good précis of the recent economic history of Vietnam, and hence the background to the Vietnam War. The rest will be interesting only if you're interested in the detail of South Vietnam's economic history. Douglas Dacy's work from 1986 gives a more complete overview, however.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-04-16 00:00:00 Duane Davis I am re-reading this book from college, which was from one of many stats & quantitative analysis classes that I had to take, to support some statistical work functions. It is proving to be a great resource. From all of my stats and quan. classes, this one is the most useful post-school resource. It is written for and applied to business management, so it's not just a math book. I love identifying trends and hunting for savings, and a few of the tools outlined in this book help me with a bit of the behind the scenes math. Oh how fun the world of stats can be. Great book. Easy to read and reference. So glad that I didn't sell this book back.
