I think there is no better (more accurate) treatment of SK as a religious thinker, which is primarily how he saw himself, in my view.

If reading a commentary on Heidegger has frustrated you, then this book will serve as a vindication of sorts. Edwards takes a very matter of fact approach to Heidegger and demonstrates that many of his world shattering philosophical discoveries are nothing more than platitudes, shrouded in oracular, obfuscating language. But it is not a serious critique. Edwards gets lost in his analytic, grammar obsessed approach to Heidegger and is often anal. Can't really recommend it. But against the reverential treatment that Heidegger gets from almost everyone, this serves as an interesting contrast.
