An eclectic mix, from the very good to the less so, but all readable. Many of the poems here were not really my favurite style, being a bit early-80s avant garde, as concerned (or more so) with the shape of the words as the actual sound and meaning. There were, however, some true gems (Jan Kemp and Kendrick Smithyman's works spring to mind), and several leading names from New Zealand poetry (Stead, Wedde, Curnow) showed why their names are highly respected..
