Review # 1 was written on 2014-01-21 00:00:00 Mina Bassily I told myself I was going to finish this, but since having gone on a recent book-buying spree, I have so many more interesting books to read and I no longer have the motivation to continue. Maybe I'll check this out again someday. It's a decent book, with some interesting historical detail and modern-ish studies. I might still peruse a couple of the so-what chapters before returning it. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-11-16 00:00:00 Scott Mcdonald The only problem with this book is that the pages of photographs illustrating each chapter seem to bear very little relationship to the text of each chapter, indeed they seem rather to have been added by the editor rather than the author based more on what was available than on what would be best for the book. |
