Everyoone, every school from elementary through high school and college, should have this book in the repertoire. It is a real history gathering project from the background research of Claude Green, JR. Books of this nature tend to reach narrow bands of audiences because they tend to be written for scholars, to satisfy scholarl undertakings. Hence, they end up as good sholarly reads for the scholarly. Green has produced a book in the everyman's daily language, rather than eduspeak. One can read it in several sittings, from different starting points, and still receive an education, just as if they were talking to a neighbor about the "word on the street" history of traditions and society specific to one man's quest for his family heritage. In his quest, he has become the family historian for his cousins by the dozens, and his grand children alike.
