The book's coverage of diabetes is very limited, considering the title of the book; this is mainly an endocrinology text, not a diabetes text. Although many chapters included in the book cover topics which are occasionally related to diabetes, only one of 15 chapters really cover diabetes-related topics in detail (and some chapters dealing with topics which are - or could have been, had different chapter coverage decisions been made - diabetes-related in fact left out the diabetes-related stuff, in order to cover that stuff later on in the chapter about diabetes; for example chapter 5, devoted to Endocrinology in Pregnancy, includes no information about either gestational diabetes or management of diabetes in pregnancy - these topics are instead covered in the (not particularly long) diabetes chapter). The title is really one of the only things I have to object to about the book; it's a great book, with a lot of detail.
