Review # 1 was written on 2013-08-06 00:00:00 Kate Wolfe This book was only ok. I found the case analyses variably interesting and tedious. I understand that some of this came from the particular industries and topics that interest me, but there was also an issue in US-centric analysis. Very rarely were non-US firms studied. This is hardly conducive to a global management education. The editing of this book was terrible. Grammatical and spelling errors throughout. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-07-14 00:00:00 Carlos Hirales I read this book as part of an MBA strategy class I taught and will teach again. It is indeed a thorough study of strategy in a business environment. Comments from the students were that it was a bit wordy and heavy at times but does use quite a few real world examples and is fairly up to date. It is a dry read - don't look for any comic relief. |
