Review # 2 was written on 2007-05-17 00:00:00 Matthew Bemis The first 75% of the book? AWESOME. The last 25% Not so much. Bruce Hale, why are you so inconsistent? I can only expect consistent goodness from you and your books, but every so often you pop out with otherworldly greatness and then fail to reproduce it. AAAARGH. On the up side, the book did begin this way: "Lucky for me, life is full of mysteries. Like, if peanut butter cookies are made from peanuts, what are Girl Scout cookies made of? If athletes get athlete's foot, do rocket scientists get mistletoe? And if swimming is so good for your shape, why do whales look the way they do?"
