Review # 1 was written on 2018-09-01 00:00:00 Traci Casto Spot Stays Overnight is a lift the flap book for young children, about Spot the Dog who goes to stay at his friends house overnight. He packs his bag full of stuff and goes to play with his friend Steve the monkey whom he is staying the night with. Spot's friend notices Spots mum coming with a bag for him. When Steve asks Spot what is in the bag he gets shy and replies nothing, under the flap we find out that Spot's mum brought him his teddy. This is a nice story as it is aimed at young children who may stil use teddies. The lift the flap aspect of the story gets children really engaged and enthusiastic about reading it. Spot books have proved to be much loved by children and this is another which is no exception. The big and bold writing make it an ideal book to use for children who have just started to read and the beautiful pictures help explain the story to those who cannot read.
