Review # 1 was written on 2011-07-23 00:00:00 Dev Test Gavin Ewart, whom I'd never read before, is my favorite poet of the three included herein. Johnson apparently thought of himself as a poet first and foremost but I prefer his fiction. Ghose writes well about displacement, a logical enough theme for a Pakistani who moved to England, then Texas. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-09-12 00:00:00 Kara Denora A very thought-provoking and amusing memoir full of interesting and often wildly funny stories (albeit usually in a laugh-to-keep-from-crying way). The author gives insight not only into the patients but into the trainee therapists and the process of therapy itself. I really enjoyed this and found myself reading parts out loud to friends. I'm just glad my life isn't like the people's in this book! |
