Review # 1 was written on 2014-07-12 00:00:00 Matt Barajas This book was awful. Perhaps it's because my children are a bit old for this, but I couldn't stand it. Every single time there is dialogue it is stated, "said Fox." "said Dexter." "said Mom." "said Louise." I said the word SAID more than I ever thought I could in the few minutes it took to read this!! Fox has an awful attitude, telling his mom "You're joking." when told to watch his kid sister. He goes around looking for friends to play with, and is even rude to their parents! One parent says the friend is busy and Fox's response is "That's no fun." Seriously? Then instead of turning this story around and having him realize that even though all of his friends can't play, he can play with his sister, it takes a negative turn. Fox loses his sister and then bribes her to not tell on him. What a mess. And the same continues with the other two short stories in this book. The first starts the exact same way, so much so that I double checked to make sure I wasn't re-reading the first story! This time he again doesn't watch his sister close enough. And in the third book he steps away from a responsibility and goes to the beach and walks around naked. Great lesson. Oy vey. Horrible writing. Horrible story telling. Skip it.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-01-26 00:00:00 Amanda Smith What a crazy little book. First Fox chases his sister up a telephone pole, then a diving pool. In the last story, his friends invite him to go swimming. He says that he doesn't have a swimming suit and they say to go without one, they won't look. Then later a dog says, "Next time you should wear some clothes." But if you look at the illustration, the dog is naked, too. lol
