I came across this book at a thrift store- I've been meaning to read the first one as it's on one of those lists of children's books you should read before you grow up. It's a storybook with three different stories within it. These books are around 4th grade reading level, but, nice and short so good for kids that are still intimidated by bigger books. I wasn't blown away by this one, it was cute enough, but I have a feeling they were sort of running out of material by the time Carpenter got to this one. There is a naughty little boy in this as well named Hamish. Isn't there always a Hamish? Anyway, he's awful and interrupts the class and otherwise causes trouble. This is the right grade level for my kid right now, so I'll have her try it and see if it's something she enjoys.
