I've read many many golf books, at the time I pretty much read all I could lay my hands on with none of them really standing out, except this one. besides being a good story, there is real value in the book. It's been a long time since I read it, so don't remember the details specifically, but do remember it impacted me at the time and made a difference. how exactly I cannot say, other than perhaps connecting to a predilection of mine, which is to come at matters from an abstract perspective, to go deeper, and look beyond the obvious. This marvellous read does just exactly that. *Gravity Golf* - need I say more?

Hallelujah! I finished this book! I surprised myself that I didnt abandon it (like I wanted to and maybe should have). My excitement is due only to the fact that its over finally! After dragging myself through the lackluster first half I didnt think I could stand to complete the agonizing final half, but somehow I made it. Yes, there are many wonderful reviews of this alleged golf journey this book is a journey alright all telling me how much richer my life would be for having experienced Golf in the Kingdom. I have to wonder what those readers were looking for and what this book possibly helped them find. Maybe this book should be considered a novel, but after reading it, I hesitate to call it that. If you were trying to find a dissertation from academia to support metaphysical teachings from India centered on everything from the inner self to the occult; if youd enjoy suspecting that the doctoral candidate author came to his premise in a Scottish golf experience, you came to the right place. If readers are looking for a spiritual journey into the world of golf as attributed to this book in its description, I respectfully suggest you read Gabriels Creek. I am extremely biased, but believe that novel to be a better read, a more impactful and inspiring story by far than is Golf in the Kingdom. If you are the Everyman that many golfers are, Ill bet youll enjoy the absence of metaphysics in Gabriels Creek. I should say that I felt compelled to keep this book up to at least 2-stars, because the last terrible book I read I rated 2-stars. Now Im wondering what made me rate that book in my past so high.
