Review # 1 was written on 2020-11-03 00:00:00 Jewelrit Stewart This is a very in depth book about Wilhelm Reich. It gives a rather detailed look into each of the areas he studied and did work in during his lifetime. Some of it is on the technical processes he worked in and was a bit "slower" reading for me. Mainly, because it was "dense" with information I was not familiar with so I had to read it at a slow pace to absorb it. (This is not a bad thing). When it got further along and talked about Reich's dealings with being persecuted, cloud bursting and UFO Phenomena I was able to read it at a faster pace. I am very glad I was recommended this book, it gives a very sympathetic look at Reich and I think it will be a good spring board into me reading his own writing. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-03-10 00:00:00 Mark Bennett An okay book that is a bit elementary. It's a good starting book for the curious Occultist, and it does mix a more western hermetic practice with a Pagan "shamanism" quite well. I've come to expect a bit more depth in the works of John and Caitlin Matthews, however being that this an early book of theirs I won't hold 'The Western Way' to the same standard of more recent works by the pair. |
