Review # 1 was written on 2015-06-20 00:00:00 Laurent Cavallero This review is primarily for chapters 1-4, 7-9 and 15. Instructive and detail description of different types of noise in lump elements: resistor, pn junction and transistors, as well as in amplifiers. Actually it focuses much more on amplifier's noise analysis and low-noise design. Chapters 1 and 2 cover most of the basic. The remaining chapters apply them to specific cases. The detail examples are very instructive in demonstrating noise analyses. Note that this book is from the engineering standpoint. No statistical analyses of noise are discussed. It is also a bit outdated (as of this review in 2019), because nowadays most of us no longer deal with individual BJTs or FETs directly. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-08-05 00:00:00 Kraig Ogden One of a very few mathematical books I could recommend to a non-mathematical person. I think anyone with a visual sensitivity could page through this and enjoy the pictures. |
