Review # 2 was written on 2016-02-01 00:00:00 Michael Self Not exactly what I expected. Too much focus on grammarians and on idle things (a whole section just to talk about the first users of the OED, really?) that do not relate to language itself during the Late Modern English period. Some insights on lexis and/or semantics would be appropriate for this work, as anything related to that was quite vague and superficial. For some general info on this matters its okay.
