Review # 1 was written on 2019-01-21 00:00:00 Endra Wani 20190121 ◊ If you're curious to see if a 20+ year old book on simplicity might hold any new/useful ideas, let me save you some time: the answer is no. This book is hilariously and painfully out of date. General principles on organizing, purging, and simplicity don't really change, and may be found without having to wade through helpful hints on how to update your Rolodex or the best way to store fax machine manuals.

Review # 2 was written on 2007-10-20 00:00:00 Sarith Lom This book inspired me into action with lots of good ideas for getting organized. I didn't love it though. I mostly skimmed through the chapters looking for ideas that applied to my goals. I was hoping for a project idea book that listed a "hot spot" in the home for each day (like the master bath one day, the hall closet the next, under the kitchen sink the next . . . ) and then help with deciding what things need to go (like if you haven't used it since you opened it on your wedding day, you don't need it - that kind of thing). Instead it is divided into chapters like "Revise your Living Spaces", "Consider Minimalism" and "Design Simple Systems" to help organize your life in general. I think my life is already organized in general, I just want to get rid of STUFF! I was motivated by certain parts of the book though, and I have cleared out several bags of clutter. Yeah!
