Really great quick reference/reminder book about intervention techniques and their backgrounds. I would recommend this to any new counselor starting out, or to a counselor who has been in the field too long and needs a refresher. Many of the techniques are very basic and get used without even remembering the fact that it is a professional technique, so it almost justifies to ourselves that what we do is more than just talk to people.

Best book ever!!! I used so many of these techniques. The chapters were well formatted and precise. Erford really broke down the steps to the techniques and gave really good examples. I was able to take them from the book and into practice. Every counselor needs this book.
