Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-24 00:00:00 Stephen Rashid This is a nature book with a difference - the author's view is that we cannot leave nature alone to deal with modern life, but need to actively manage the resources that we have. By doing this, we can make sure that endangered animals and landscapes are protected. He gives a lot of compelling evidence and you can't help agreeing with a lot of his ideas. He points out that Nature is all about change and that the modern way of just leaving it to get on with it, won't bring about the status quo that a lot of people think it will. This should be compulsory reading for anyone even vaguely interested in such things.
