Review # 2 was written on 2013-03-04 00:00:00 Debra J. Desaulniers This is a really good text book. I'm sure there will be DSM 5 edition coming out soon if it's not out now. If it weren't a hundred plus fuckin bucks I'd buy the most recent ed right now. :( RANT ALERT! ------ I'd love to see high quality, open source text books come on to the market and drive these ridiculous prices down. The textbook pricing thing is over the top. I teach undergrads and I won't use a text that costs over 50.00. I know publishing is a for profit business. I understand that high quality textbooks are labor intensive and have a limited market. But we're in one of the worst economies in recent memory, and people under 25 are some of the hardest hit by our current circumstances. 150.00 for a text book, when people are already going into debt to get educated, who will probably emerge into a soft job market........ITS A RIP OFF! Anyway. Great textbook. I'm loving it:) |
