Review # 1 was written on 2015-03-29 00:00:00 Kevin Ledoux I was a little disappointed with this one. Some of the explanations were difficult to understand, and it was pretty dry. |
Review # 2 was written on 2020-07-20 00:00:00 Norman Hubert Larry Burkett gives advice on most investment options from stocks and bonds to real estate to coins and more. Along the way he tells a number of stories from his financial counseling, mostly illustrating how not to invest. He gives three basic principles about investing. First, avoid surety (cosigning on another's loan or pledging all one's assets to obtain a loan). Second, the higher the potential investment return, then the higher risk. Third, as Solomon said, diversify one's investments across a wide range of options, including money market funds, stocks, bonds, international stocks, real estate, and some precious metals. Burkett likes mutual funds for the easy diversification they offer. |
