Review # 1 was written on 2013-10-27 00:00:00 Rita L. Frias-monserrate I love this book for its utility in teaching an intro class that begins with a transnational perspective. You definitely have to use it strategically for students to get the most out of it though. I supplemented it heavily, didn't approach it in a linear manner, and cherry-picked the best selections. It seemed to work well.

Review # 2 was written on 2007-11-13 00:00:00 Dees Deeds The articles in this book are so short and so specifically localized it's impossible to get any sense of cohesion with the material. You come out of it saying, 'What did I just learn? How do these topics relate to one another?'
