A 289 page book covering Architects’ Drawings from the Renaissance to Postmodern. It might be best thought as “Architects Sketches” and on the average only one sketch per Architect. This is not the place to find your favorite Architect in detail yet having such a range of periods and Architects of critical importance in one place gives this book a good reason to be found in any Architects library. It is also a good starting place when researching basic facts on early Architects.

An engaging overview for anyone interested in learning about the current families who hold the highest rank in the British peerage. The author writes about 26 non-royal dukedoms however since first being published, two have since become extinct - Newcastle and Portland.
