Review # 1 was written on 2018-12-23 00:00:00 Paul Gencik I think this is a cute book to introduce young readers to the idea of mammals vs fish in the ocean. It describes much about the life cycle of whales and how they need to breathe air from above the water unlike fish. The illustrations are nice. I did have some lingering questions about the anatomy of these whales. I can't recall ever having seen a whale's nipples and I can't see how the giant mouth on those calves is able to suck on the teat. I googled it and now know a little too much about whale anatomy. :)

Review # 2 was written on 2021-02-04 00:00:00 Rachel Thurlow Old. Pretty boring. But I like having a nonfiction connection to a fiction story about whales.
