The many types of instruments are named and described in the book as well. The story as well deals with issues of pratice and respect for others around you that all readers can gain from. The pictures are full of detail and color and fill up the pages. Children enjoy music and will enjoy learning about ways to make it through this book. This story is simple to understand and could be used to introduce letting children play different instruments. They have many child friendly instruments available for classroooms. Teachers can always make simple instrumetns as well ahead of time if ressources are not avaviable at your school.l Talk with the children about the different ones you bring in to the class room. Have children share and take turns experimenting with ways to make sounds the find appeling with the instruments. Things like tamborines,maraccas adn small drums would br great for pre school age children.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-09-17 00:00:00 Pamela Pacsay Do you just love Little Critter? An I spy book, great illustrations and a wonderful short story about a child interested in music after attending a parade. Worked well with the other "drum" picture books used for a drum storytime.
